About the course
The AMACE woodworking course teaches how to turn wood, including wood from reused pallets, into useful and beautiful furniture and pieces. It is for anyone who wants to learn a trade, build their own furniture or earn extra income with handwork.
What the classes are like
Classes are hands-on, in the workshop. Students learn to measure, cut, sand, assemble and finish, using hand and power tools safely. Everyone leaves the course with pieces made by their own hands.
Structure
The course covers types of wood and reuse, reading plans, using tools, joinery and assembly, finishing and workshop safety. The days and times for each class are announced when enrollment opens. At the end, students receive a certificate.
Who teaches
Luiz teaches recycled woodworking at AMACE. He teaches students to see value in wood that would be thrown away and passes on a love of work done well.
