About the course
The AMACE computer skills course teaches how to use a computer in daily life and at work, from the basics to what the job market asks for. It is for people who have never used a computer and for those who want to prepare for a first job.
What the classes are like
Each student practices on their own computer, with close guidance from the teachers. Classes go from using the keyboard and mouse to creating documents and spreadsheets, using the internet and email safely, and preparing a resume.
Structure
The course covers using the computer and files, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, the internet, email and digital safety. Classes are small, so everyone gets attention. The days and times are announced when enrollment opens. At the end, students receive a certificate.
Who teaches
Alexya teaches computer skills at AMACE. Calmly and up close, she helps each student, of any age, gain independence on the computer and prepare for the job market.
